Dr. Kyle Benkel, born and raised in Orlando, Florida, attended the University of Central Florida. At UCF, he was a Burnett Honors College student and played wide receiver for the UCF Knights football team for four years. He graduated cum laude with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and received the Order of Pegasus, UCF's highest student honor.
He then attended the UCF College of Medicine, where he volunteered at student-run clinics and served as the Florida Academy of Family Physicians Student Director.
