Born and raised in Tehran, Iran, Dr. Baniasadi began her journey in healthcare with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition from Shahid-Beheshti University of Medical Science in Tehran. She then moved to the United States to pursue a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from Wichita State University, an a NIH research grant at Kansas University School of Medicine-Wichita.
After deciding to become a physician, Dr. Baniasadi obtained a second Bachelor’s in Biological Science from Florida International University, before going to medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Fla.
Her primary interests in medicine include full-spectrum family practice with a greater focus on preventative medicine, pediatrics and osteopathic manipulative
medicine. Dr. Baniasadi is committed to providing her patients with comprehensive care and empowering them to take charge of their health. She is excited to be part of the Halifax Health family medicine team.
When she’s not working, Dr. Baniasadi enjoys spending time with her family, including walks and playground visits with her baby girl and coffee dates with her husband, as well as visiting virtually with her sister in Iran.
