About Dr. Richard K. Gaines

Dr. Richard K. Gaines is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and Florida native raised in Daytona Beach. Dr. Gaines has special interests in arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures of the knee and shoulder, as well as procedures of the hip, including total hip joint replacement surgery. Dr. Gaines has been practicing in Volusia County since 1992, and joined The Orthopedic Clinic in 2015.

Dr. Gaines is passionate about serving the Daytona Beach community he grew up in. His orthopedic expertise has led to his involvement with several local sports teams, including Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, the Daytona Cubs professional baseball team, and several high schools. Dr. Gaines is also the Clinical Instructor for the Florida State College of Medicine.

He and his wife, Susan, are proud parents of three children.
