Sally Hinman, MD, PhD, CAQ-SM, completed the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She earned her PhD in Cellular and Integrative Physiology. Dr. Hinman is a graduate of the Community Health and Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of Florida and the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of South Florida – Morton Plant Mease. She has covered mass events as well as teams at the high school, college, and professional levels.
After working in an orthopedic practice following her fellowship, Dr. Hinman joined the core faculty for the Halifax Health - Sports Medicine Fellowship and Halifax Health - Family Medicine Residency in 2019. She became the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program Director in 2022. Dr. Hinman also serves as the Quality Coordinator for the residency program and oversees the quality improvement projects. Her professional interests include ultrasound-guided injections and teaching. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach with her husband and children.
