Sally Hinman, MD, PhD, CAQ-SM, completed the Medical Scientist Training Program at Indiana University School of Medicine. She earned her PhD in Cellular and Integrative Physiology by investigating the effect of nutritional supplements on exercise-induced bronchoconstriction. Dr. Hinman is a graduate of the Community Health and Family Medicine Residency Program at University of Florida and the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program at University of South Florida – Morton Plant Mease. She has covered mass events as well as teams at the high school, college and professional levels.
Dr. Hinman joined the core faculty for the Halifax Health Sports Medicine Fellowship and Halifax Health Family Medicine Residency in 2019. She became the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program Director in 2022. Her professional interests include ultrasound-guided procedures and teaching. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach with her husband and children.
