Serena earned her PhD from Louisiana State University in Human Resources Education. Serena’s responsibilities include oversight of the New Hire Orientation, New Leader Onboarding, Manager Training, and the Halifax Health Leadership Academy. She serves as a resource across the organization for coaching, teambuilding, training design, and workshops. She successfully launched the Registered Apprenticeship Program at Halifax Health and continues to add new occupations, creating career opportunities for incumbent and future Team Members. She supervises the Organizational Development team, supporting Net Learning administration, Student Placement, all Educational Assistance benefits and programs, Nursing Orientation, and Apprenticeship Program logistics. Serena holds the highest HR certifications, the SPHR and SHRM-SCP as well as having earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) and RightPath facilitator certifications.
