After graduation from University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Fla., Anderson went on to complete her general surgery residency at University of Florida. She then completed a fellowship in surgical critical care at UF before earning her Master of Health Professional Education (MHPE) at University of Chicago in Chicago, Ill. Following that, she completed a second fellowship in surgical education and simulation at Stanford University, Stanford, Calif.,. Anderson has received additional training in surgical skills for exposure in trauma.
