Dr. Wayne Sterr was born and raised in Providence, UT. After high school, he served a two-year mission in Washington, D.C. for his church where he learned Spanish. Upon completing his mission, he returned home to northern Utah where he received a Bachelor's degree in Human Movement Science from Utah State University and minors in Spanish and Chemistry.
Dr. Sterr received his medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. During medical school, he was also involved in family medicine organizations such as the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) where he served on student councils and committees. He also served as the Student Governor on the board of the ACOFP Mountain West Regional Society where he advocated for family physicians at the local and national levels.
Dr. Sterr's special interests in family medicine include lifestyle medicine and helping the underserved, particularly Spanish-speaking patients.
When he is not working, Dr. Sterr enjoys spending time with his four children and his wife. They enjoy going to parks, hiking, camping, and being outside. Dr. Sterr also enjoys golfing and playing racquetball, and although he does not have any pets yet, Dr. Sterr is a dog enthusiast.
