Tami Collins Named Joe Petrock Auxiliary Volunteer of the Month for November 2019

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (November 13, 2019) – Tami Collins of Daytona Beach has been named the Joe Petrock Auxiliary Volunteer of the Month for November 2019 by the Halifax Health-Auxiliary.

A member of the Halifax Health-Auxiliary since 2014, Collins has donated more than 5,262 hours of service as a member of the auxiliary’s therapy dog team.  Collins and her therapy dog KC visit patients, staff and visitors throughout the hospital on a regular basis.  She also coordinates many of the therapy dog team activities, including a recent meet and greet, as well as participation in parades and Halloween activities.

Collins also assists in Halifax Health Medical Center’s Stitch ‘N Knit Department where she sews patches on uniforms and pillows for patients.  In addition, she has held leadership positions in the auxiliary, including second vice president and corresponding secretary. 

“Tami is the volunteer that every organization would love to have on the roll.  We are happy that she has chosen Halifax Health to dedicate her time,” says Halifax Health-Auxiliary President Cynthia Rose. 

Along with the honor of being named Volunteer of the Month for November 2019, Collins received a gift card and is a nominee for the auxiliary’s Volunteer of the Year award.
