Alberto Tineo is responsible for the oversight of all Halifax Health Medical Center operations.
Since joining Halifax Health in 1992, he has served in numerous roles from which he gained experience in many areas of the community health system’s operations. Alberto began his career with Halifax Health as a nuclear medicine coordinator and advanced to become the manager of Radiology and subsequently, Service Line Administrator for Radiology, Orthopedics and Neuroscience.
Alberto also served as Senior VP of Operations where he was responsible for ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards and managing interactions with regulatory agencies. As COO, Alberto has coordinated the Medical Center’s response to critical events including hurricanes and Covid-19 while overseeing all operational aspects to ensure the seamless delivery of healthcare services.
His many years of experience and unique skillsets have enabled Alberto to successfully lead Halifax Health through many important milestones, including the planning and opening of Halifax Health | UF Health - Medical Center of Deltona.
Alberto holds both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in health care administration from the University of St. Francis.
