RN Residency Program

RN Residency Program

Halifax Health’s Registered Nurse Residency program is a paid residency program designed for Registered Nurses with less than one year of nursing experience. During this program, the graduate nurse will work directly with a unit preceptor for hands-on instruction combined with classroom-style lectures. This collaborative learning approach is designed to provide the knowledge base and skillset needed to successfully transition from the student role into your new role as a professional nurse.

As the area’s only Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care program, Pediatric Emergency Department, OB Emergency Department, Child and Adolescent Behavioral Services, and comprehensive Neurosurgical Services, Halifax Health is a very dynamic organization that offers many unique opportunities to support your new career as a Registered Nurse while providing flexible scheduling to maintain a healthy work life balance.

Program Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

  • Active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida (not required to apply, required to begin program)

  • Professional Resume

  • Two professional references

  • Letter of recommendation from a clinical instructor (preferred)

Application Process

Eligible candidates must submit an application online to positions listed on our job board as RN Resident.
