Romano DeMarco, MD, has joined UF Health Urology at Halifax Health in Daytona and is the area’s first urologist specializing in pediatrics.
DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (October 26, 2022) Romano DeMarco, MD, has joined UF Health Urology at Halifax Health in Daytona and is the area’s first urologist specializing in pediatrics. Pediatric urology is a surgical subspecialty of medicine dealing with the disorders of children’s genitourinary systems. Pediatric urologists provide care for children ranging in age from birth to early adult.
Dr. DeMarco is a board-certified Pediatric Urologist who completed his residency in Urology at Indiana University and Pediatric Urology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Dr. DeMarco has held faculty positions at Vanderbilt University and joint appointments at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Kansas University when he was the Director of Pediatric Urology Research at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Florida, Dr. DeMarco was the first Chief of Pediatric Urology at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
