The National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) is excited to celebrate Home Care, Hospice and Palliative Care Month during the month of November. This is the time to recognize and celebrate the millions of people — from administrators to clinicians, to social workers and volunteers — who bring healthcare into the homes of the most vulnerable patients.
During the month of November, we celebrate the Halifax Health – Continuing Care community by honoring our nurses, home care aides, therapists, office staff and social workers who make a remarkable difference for the patients and families we serve. Our heroic caregivers play a central role throughout our Halifax Health system. All Halifax Health – Continuing Care clinical Team Members provide vital services to our patients who are aged, disabled or facing unforeseen medical complications or new diagnoses. Our clinical team wraps their arms around patients and caregivers through this struggle and walk through this season with understanding, education and healing. Each and every one of our clinicians enriches and makes an everlasting impact on the lives of the patients and families served by helping patients stay safe, remain independent at home and keep in touch with those they love.
Today we celebrate the tireless, selfless individuals at Halifax Health – Continuing Care who are caregivers, companions and friends. Through advocacy, recognition and promotion we need your help to spread the word about how home care and hospice touched your life and made a difference.
