Halifax Health – Center for Advanced Wound Healing Welcomes New Physician

Paul Johnson, MD has joined Halifax Health – Center for Advanced Wound Healing in Daytona Beach, FL.

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (March 9, 2023) Paul Johnson, MD has joined Halifax Health – Center for Advanced Wound Healing in Daytona Beach, FL. He is a fellowship-trained Hyperbaric and Dive Medicine physician and holds certifications in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine with over 20 years of experience in non-surgical Sports Medicine.

Dr. Johnson’s postgraduate education in Hyperbaric Medicine includes wound care, patient consultation, chamber operation and dive physicals. He is a previous flight surgeon for the Montana National Guard and is passionate about veterans’ health, especially TBI (traumatic brain injury) and PTSD. 

Dr. Johnson brings his expertise in Hyperbaric Medicine to treat ailments such as chronic and acute wounds, infections, carbon monoxide poisoning, decompression sickness, gas emboli and sudden sensorineural hearing loss. Other injuries that benefit from the healing effects of hyperbaric oxygen are concussions, PTSD, TBI and various sports-related injuries.
