(Daytona Beach, FL) April 18, 2024 – Halifax Health | Brooks Rehabilitation – Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation is proud to announce that it has been awarded a three-year accreditation by CARF International Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities in the following programs:

Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs – Hospital (Adult)

Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs – Hospital; Brain Injury Specialty Program (Adult)

Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs – Hospital – Cancer Rehabilitation Specialty (Adult)

Inpatient Rehab Programs – Hospital Stroke Specialty Program (Adult)

Prior to this most recent CARF survey, the inpatient unit held the Adult and Stroke accreditations.  The cancer and brain injury awards are new.  Halifax Health | Brooks Rehabilitation is the only accredited brain injury program in East Central Florida and the cancer accreditation is the only one of three in the state of Florida and one of 17 in the United States. These accreditations highlight the commitment to providing the highest quality of care and signifies our dedication to meeting internationally recognized standards of excellence.

“We are honored to receive CARF accreditation for multiple programs at our facility,” said Jeremy Montz, Administrator. “This recognition reflects our team’s hard work and dedication to delivering exceptional care to our patients. We take pride in the amazing recoveries we witness every day and are thrilled to contribute to the legacy of Halifax Health providing local healthcare to the community for nearly 100 years.  Since its founding, Halifax Health | Brooks Rehabilitation has served over 8,000 patients and so many local families.”

In addition to being recognized for our inpatient stroke rehabilitation services, Halifax Health | Brooks Rehabilitation – Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation was also acknowledged as the first hospital in the area to provide intervention radiology for removing blood clots. This underscores our commitment to staying at the height of medical innovation.

Furthermore, Halifax Health and Brooks Rehabilitation offer outpatient therapy and pediatric therapy services. These collaborations extend the continuum of care beyond the inpatient setting and provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to individuals of all ages.

Brian Boon, President, and CEO of CARF International, commended Halifax Health | Brooks Rehabilitation – Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation, stating, “Your organization should take pride in achieving this high level of accreditation. It reflects your commitment to quality and your dedication to improving the lives of those you serve.”
