Halifax Health | Brooks Rehabilitation Hosts Go Baby Go Event to Deliver Adaptive Vehicles to Local Children Through Community Partnership
Daytona Beach, FL – (July 28, 2026) Halifax Health | Brooks Rehabilitation recently hosted a successful Go Baby Go adaptive ride-on vehicle building event, bringing together volunteers, sponsors, and community partners to provide customized mobility vehicles for local children with physical disabilities.
The event united approximately 50 volunteers who dedicated their time and talents to build and modify adaptive ride-on vehicles designed to help children gain greater independence, mobility, and opportunities for play.
During the event, volunteers completed six adaptive vehicles - including four cars and two Jeeps. Five of the vehicles were customized and presented to five local children and their families, while one Jeep was built as a demonstration vehicle that will be used at future Go Baby Go events.
The event's success was made possible through the support of community partners and sponsors, including First Coast Cruisers, whose members volunteered their expertise throughout the build. Vehicle sponsorships were provided by Rossmeyer and Sons, which sponsored two cars; Oceans of Hope Foundation, which sponsored one car; and Jeep Beach, which sponsored one Jeep. Additional support was provided through lunch sponsorship for volunteers and participating families.

The Go Baby Go program adapts battery-powered ride-on vehicles to meet each child's unique mobility needs, promoting exploration, social interaction, and developmental growth through independent movement. The program relies on the combined efforts of rehabilitation specialists, volunteers, and community organizations to create life-changing opportunities for children and their families.
