Grant Cancer Center for Hope, in collaboration with our Halifax Health - Foundation and the Atlantic Center for the Arts, is excited to announce a unique Arts in Medicine Workshop, "Where the Arts Meet Healing." This event, led by Jennifer Baxley Lee from UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine will explore the powerful intersection of the arts and healthcare. Julie Roth, with our Halifax Health - Cancer Center for Hope, shared, "We are thrilled to bring together such a talented group of artists and healthcare professionals. By integrating the arts into our healing practices, we are not only enhancing patient care but also fostering a more compassionate and connected community."

About Our Workshop Leader:
- Jennifer Lee from UF Health, an expert in art therapy and its impact on mental and physical health.
Jenny Baxley Lee, PhD, MA, BC-DMT, serves as Director of the UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine program as well as a Senior Lecturer and Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist with the University of Florida’s Center for Arts in Medicine in the College of the Arts. She is affiliated faculty with the School of Theatre and Dance and the STEM Translational Communication Center and has served on the Research and Curriculum Committees in the College of the Arts. Jennifer Lee shared, "Art has a unique ability to touch the soul and promote healing in ways that traditional medicine alone cannot. This workshop is an incredible opportunity for artists to make a profound impact on the health and well-being of our community."
