Halifax Health – Charles L. and Miki N. Grant Cancer Center for Hope and UF Health Partner with NRG Oncology to Elevate Cancer Care in Volusia County

Daytona Beach, FL – (December 15, 2023) In redefining cancer care in Volusia County, Halifax Health – Charles L. and Miki N. Grant Cancer Center for Hope and UF Health have entered into an affiliation with NRG Oncology. This collaboration, dedicated to improving the lives of cancer patients, will offer multi-institutional clinical and research, with a special focus on gynecologic, breast and prostate cancers, as well as localized or locally advanced cancers of all types.

NRG Oncology, brings to this affiliation a scientific plan and structure established with the receiving of a grant proposal from the National Cancer Institute (NCI).  NRG Oncology has over 150 years of cumulative experience in conducting practice-defining, multi-institutional phase II and III trials, primarily sponsored by the NCI.

This partnership between Halifax Health, UF Health and NRG Oncology is a milestone for cancer care in Volusia County. Patients will benefit from:

Research and Clinical Trials: The collaboration will bring additional research and clinical trials to Volusia County, ensuring patients have access to the latest advancements in cancer treatment.

Comprehensive Care: NRG Oncology’s special emphasis on gender-associated malignancies, such as gynecologic, breast, and prostate cancers, will provide tailored treatment options.

Localized and Locally Advanced Cancer Expertise: Patients with localized or locally advanced cancers of all types will receive expert care, helping to improve outcomes.
