Halifax Health — Foundation Nursing Education Scholarship

Our Halifax Health — Foundation Nursing Education Scholarship was established to support and invest in the professional growth of Halifax Health Team Members who aspire to pursue or advance a career in nursing. This scholarship reflects our donor commitment to strengthening the nursing workforce and advancing excellence in patient care at Halifax Health.

Award Amount

• One (1) scholarship in the amount of $5,000

• Funds may be used for tuition, required fees, books, or related educational expenses

• Scholarship funds are paid directly to the educational institution, when possible

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all the following requirements:

• Be a current Halifax Health employee in good standing at the time of application

• Have a minimum of one (1) year of continuous employment with Halifax Health

• Be accepted into or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing education program, including:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • RN-to-BSN program

  • Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN)

• Be enrolled part-time or full-time

• Demonstrate a commitment to a career in nursing and continued service in healthcare
