Halifax Health Welcomes Stephanie Wohlford as Director of Government Affairs

Daytona Beach, FL – (August 12, 2024) Halifax Health announces the addition of Stephanie Wohlford as the Director of Government Affairs. Wohlford joins Halifax Health with extensive experience in legislative work, having most recently served as Legislative Aide to Representative Tom Leek, where she played an important role in shaping policy, budget, and community initiatives for the local area and the State of Florida.

During her time with the Florida House of Representatives, beginning in 2018, Wohlford assisted Representative Leek with legislative activities both in Tallahassee and locally. She has developed and maintained excellent relationships with lobbyists and worked closely with our local governments, as well as community organizations, on state budget requests, ensuring their successful navigation through the budget process.

Prior to joining Representative Leek’s team, Wohlford was a business owner in the community, where she made many valuable connections in the advertising, restaurant, and retail industries.

"We are thrilled to welcome Stephanie to the Halifax Health team," said Jeff Feasel, President and CEO of Halifax Health. "Her extensive experience in government affairs and her deep understanding of the legislative process make her an incredible asset to our organization.  She has an impeccable track record, and we look forward to working closely with her as we continue to advocate for policies that support our mission of providing exceptional healthcare to our community."

Wohlford’s addition to the team is an example of Halifax Health’s commitment to strengthening its governmental relations and ensuring the organization remains a leader in providing the highest level of healthcare and advocacy.
