Halifax Health|Brooks Rehabilitation – Center for Inpatient Rehab Receives CARF Accreditation

DAYTONA   BEACH, FLA. – (May 18, 2018) – Halifax Health|Brooks Rehabilitation – Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation has been awarded accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).  The three-year accreditation applies to Halifax Health’s inpatient rehabilitation program for adults and stroke specialty program.

Founded in 1966, CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services.  The mission of CARF is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of persons served.

Opened in 2013, Halifax Health|Brooks Rehabilitation – Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation is a 40-bed, state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation center at Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach with the capability to serve a wide variety of rehab patients.  As the Volusia – Flagler area’s only Level II Trauma Center and designated Comprehensive Stroke Center, Halifax Health can care for patients with spinal cord, stroke, traumatic brain, amputee, and complex orthopedic injuries with long-term rehab needs close to home.  For more information about rehabilitation services offered by Halifax Health, visit halifaxhealth.org/brooks.
