Jeanelle Brown, M.D., joined Halifax Health in December 2022 as the Chief of Anesthesia.
She previously worked as an anesthesiologist for North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville as well as Florida Hospital Flagler, Florida Hospital Orlando and Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in South Dakota.
Dr. Brown earned both her bachelor’s and medical degrees from the University of Florida. In 2008, she completed her anesthesiology residency at the University of Chicago’s Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care, where she served as president of the Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists – Resident Component and delegate of Illinois for the Anesthesiology Legislative Conference.
In her free time, Dr. Brown loves to travel, hike and explore other cultures, from which she finds ideas and settings for her writing. She also enjoys reading, cooking and cuddling with dogs—especially her Maltese, Faith.
