The low-dose CT lung scan provides early detection of lung cancer, even if you may not have any symptoms. Studies show that low-dose CT scans are more effective at detecting cancerous lung masses than standard radiographic chest X-rays. Therefore, this screening technique, along with physician recommendations and treatment, can reduce the risk of death from lung cancer – the number one cause of cancer-related deaths among men and women in the nation.
*Low-dose CT lung scan may be covered by insurance. If not, the out-of-pocket cost is only $125.
