New Pediatricians Join Children’s Medical Center Amid Growing Need for Children’s Healthcare Providers

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (December 6, 2023)  Halifax Health – Children’s Medical Center is proud to announce the appointment of three additional pediatric providers to its offices which are located in Ormond Beach, Palm Coast and Port Orange. Amy Kim, MD, Darrah Shields, MD and Sarah Lower, DNP, FNP-C are now available to offer personalized medical care to the families in our community.

“With the population of Florida growing, there is a continuing need for good pediatric providers,” said Nate Gittner, Director of Operations for Physician Services at Halifax Health. “Halifax Health has been at the forefront in providing top-notch children’s care throughout Volusia County. To meet the needs of our community, we’re dedicated to finding the best medical providers for the children we serve.”

Graduating summa cum laude from Wheaton College, Dr. Kim went on to earn her medical degree from Case Western University School of Medicine. Dr. Shields was a Stetson University graduate before completing medical school at St. George’s University. Dr. Lower is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at University of Florida’s prestigious College of Nursing Program.
