It’s Always Safety First at Halifax Health

Our number one priority is SAFETY for our patients, Team Members and visitors.

Starting September 21, 2015 all visitors over the age of 18, will be required to wear a Halifax Health issued Visitor ID Badge. This process applies to these inpatient facilities:

  • Halifax Health Medical Center
  • Halifax Health – Medical Center of Port Orange
  • Halifax Health – Child & Adolescent Behavioral Services

The Visitor ID Badging will be operated by our Greeters or a member of Safety & Security. Visitor ID Badging stations will be located at the following entrances:

Halifax Health Medica lCenter –  Information Desks

  • Fountain Building and FranceTower
  • Monday – Friday, 5:00 am to 8:00 pm, Weekends, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

Halifax Health Medical Center, Emergency Department

  • All Hours of Operation

Halifax Health – Medical Center of Port Orange, Main Entrance

  • Monday – Friday, 6:00 am to 8:00 pm, Weekends, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

Halifax Health – Child & Adolescent Behavioral Services, Main Entrance

  • All Hours of Operation

All visitors will be asked to present a valid photo ID and state the purpose of their visit. A Visitor ID Badge, valid for one day, must be worn at all times while on campus.

Vendors

All vendors will still be required to use the Vendormate system.

Registering Patients

All patients and visitors will receive an ID Badge upon entering one of our facilities. If you are guest coming to meet a Halifax Health Team Member, please check in at the Visitor Badging Station, located at the Information Desk, receive a Visitor ID Badge and call the person you wish to visit on a house phone or your mobile phone, for the Team Member to meet them at the Information Desk.

Delivery personnel (food, flowers, etc.) must be met by a Team Member before (or at) the respective Entrance or Information Desk to complete the hand-off.
