When treated by a team of specialists, wounds heal faster, and the cost of care is reduced. Halifax Health – Advanced Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine offers a structured, multi-disciplinary approach from a team of experienced physicians, registered nurses, and technicians.
We work with your physician to identify and manage underlying medical conditions that contribute to non-healing wounds through thorough assessments, ongoing evaluations, and patient education.
The combined nursing experience for the staff is over 74 years, showing the knowledge and expertise for your wound care needs, including advanced wound care, wound debridement, and skin graft placement.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment that delivers high levels of oxygen to your body tissues, by your blood. At Halifax Health – Advanced Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine, we use HBOT chambers for this treatment which is pressurized as prescribed by your physician. Patients breathe 100% oxygen while lying in a comfortable hyperbaric chamber.
