Today, sports car driver Memo Gidley returned to Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach to thank his orthopedic care team of physicians and nurses.
(January 27, 2017) – Today, sports car driver Memo Gidley returned to Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach to thank his orthopedic care team of physicians and nurses. In 2014, Gidley was seriously injured in a crash during the third hour of the Rolex 24 At Daytona. He has endured a long road to recovery and anticipates returning to racing later this year.
“I really appreciate all the work everybody did. Thank you so much,” Gidley said adding, “I am super happy to be closing this chapter of my life, but really appreciative.”
During today’s visit, Gidley personally thanked the staff of Halifax Health’s orthopedics unit and surgeons Mark White, MD; James Bryan, MD; Todd McCall, MD; and William Kuhn, MD.
