DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (January 3, 2024) Halifax Health is proud to announce the appointment of three new UF Health providers as part of its ongoing partnership to ensure the highest level of healthcare in Volusia county. Stephen Ball, MD, Steven Sidelsky, MD, PharmD and Maria Velasco, MD are welcome additions to a growing need for specialists in our community.

Dr. Ball is a cardiothoracic surgeon at UF Health Heart & Vascular at Halifax Health and has a career that spans hospital-based and academic medical appointments, most recently at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Tennessee. Dr. Sidelsky is a urologist at UF Health Urology at Halifax Health who received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree before completing medical school at Rush College in Chicago where he was salutatorian. Dr. Velasco is an endocrinologist with UF Health Endocrinology at Halifax Health and graduated from medical school at Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil Facultad de Ciencias Médicas, Ecuador where she was valedictorian.
