Halifax Health is proud to announce that Mike Marques, Vice President and Chief Information Technology Officer at Halifax Health, has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2026 “135 Hospital and Health System CIOs to Know” list. The annual list recognizes top information technology leaders who are driving digital transformation, advancing patient care, and strengthening the technological foundations of health systems nationwide.
This recognition highlights the impact of Marques’ leadership in overseeing system‑wide technology strategy and operations at Halifax Health. Mr. Marques, who joined the organization in 2002, has advanced through multiple IT leadership roles before assuming his current position in 2020. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that Halifax Health maintains secure, modern, and resilient technology platforms that support both clinical excellence and organizational efficiency.
Under his guidance, Halifax Health has made significant strides in areas such as infrastructure modernization, system reliability, and long‑term strategic planning. His contributions reflect the types of forward‑looking initiatives Becker’s recognized among this year’s honorees, who are noted for leveraging innovation, EHR advancement, AI integration, and cybersecurity to improve healthcare delivery.

A graduate of Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in information systems disciplines, Marques also contributes to the broader IT community through roles such as serving on the Daytona State School of Computer Science Advisory Committee and the Lenovo Healthcare Advisory Board.
