Due to COVID concerns and permitting, the Tomoka Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K, presented by Halifax Health, will not be held in its usual location in Ormond Beach this year.  Instead it will be taking a Field Trip to the West side of Volusia County to run on the beautiful paved trails and along Lake Monroe.  This race will still be on a USATF certified course and will be a Boston Qualifying event.

The start and finish area for all events will be at Gemini Springs in Debary, FL. The post-race party will be held in the oak area of the park and features complimentary food, drinks and beer for participants.

The race is sold out at 1,000 athletes!  “Even though it was not able to take place in its original location, we are excited to be able to put on a live marathon in Volusia County this spring.  We appreciate the support of Debary, Deltona and the county. We think our runners will enjoy the parks and trails of West Volusia too! Thank you to Halifax Health and our community sponsors and volunteer organizations for helping us make this event possible and safe for all participants,” said Don Stoner, Race Organizer and Principal at Runners High Timing and Race Management.  As in prior years, a portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Halifax Health Foundation for investment in medical technology and medical training for the community’s health system.  According to Joe Petrock, Executive Director, “We have been pleased to partner with Don and the Tomoka Marathon.  It is a first class event and we are excited to have such a large sell out.  These kinds of events are great for the whole community and we appreciate being included.”
