On November 30, Halifax Health and Brooks Rehabilitation, in collaboration with Easterseals Northeast Central Florida, will celebrate the grand opening of the Halifax Health | Brooks Rehabilitation – Pediatric Rehabilitation outpatient clinic, located at 311 North Clyde Morris Boulevard, on the campus of Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach.
DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. – (December 1, 2017) – On November 30, Halifax Health and Brooks Rehabilitation, in collaboration with Easterseals Northeast Central Florida, will celebrate the grand opening of the Halifax Health | Brooks Rehabilitation – Pediatric Rehabilitation outpatient clinic, located at 311 North Clyde Morris Boulevard, on the campus of Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach. The reception, which will include tours of the new facility, will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Representatives from Halifax Health, Brooks Rehabilitation and Easterseals will be in attendance.
“Halifax Health is proud to be a part of this effort that will ensure comprehensive pediatric therapy services continue to be provided in our community,” explains Jeff Feasel, president and chief executive officer for Halifax Health. He adds, “Because of this collaboration, more families will be served as more will be eligible to receive services due to the expanded insurance options available through Halifax Health.”
At its May meeting, the Halifax Health Board of Commissioners, the seven-member panel that governs the 678-bed community health system, unanimously voted to provide $694,409 towards establishment of the clinic The child-centered facility will offer services provided by Brooks Rehabilitation, a healthcare leader in pediatric therapy programs. Brooks Rehabilitation provides management services for all of Halifax Health’s rehabilitation services. With this new collaboration, Brooks Rehabilitation will supervise the center’s pediatric therapists.
Brooks Rehabilitation provides evidenced-based practice in order to provide high-quality patient outcomes. The pediatric outpatient clinic will offer occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy. Members of the Easterseals pediatric therapy team have joined Brooks Rehabilitation, allowing the families and children receiving care from Easterseals to continue to be served using comprehensive, customized treatment plans and a seamless continuation of services.
In 2013, Halifax Health and Brooks Rehabilitation partnered to open the Halifax Health|Brooks Rehabilitation – Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation. Located at Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach, the 40-bed, state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation center offers the full continuum of rehabilitation services for neurological and orthopedic injuries, including physical medicine, rehabilitation nursing, neuropsychology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, cognitive rehabilitation and recreation therapy.
In addition, Halifax Health|Brooks Rehabilitation has five outpatient clinics located throughout Volusia and Flagler counties, offering exceptional physical, occupational and speech therapy services, with specialties in neurological rehabilitation, geriatrics, orthopedics, women’s health and vestibular/balance.
