Halifax Health is pleased to provide select placement/rotations – as organizational demands allow – for students who are enrolled in one of our partner school degree programs.
Clinical Placements and rotations are defined as formal, structured, curriculum requirements of an accredited University or College.
1. An existing student Educational Affiliation Agreement (EAA) between Halifax Health and the student’s school program is required. This contract must be fully executed and in place prior to application submission.
Note: Creating a new EAA can take up to 4 months.
2. Students should submit a Placement Application at least 30 days prior to anticipated placement start date. Clicking the button below will prompt you to create a Workday account, and then allow you to submit a student placement application.
Note: Current Halifax Health Team Members already have a Workday account but should create an additional one using their school email.
3. Students will receive an email from Workday within 1 week of submitting their application. If approved to move forward, students will be able to log into Workday and begin submitting required documentation.
Note: Background Checks and Drug Screenings often take 5-7 days to receive results. Students should keep these timelines in mind when planning for placement deadlines.

4. Once all required documents have been received, reviewed, and accepted, student will be notified of approval to report to placement assignment. Student will also be given additional information regarding badge and parking details, as applicable.
5. At the conclusion of an assigned placement, student should return any badge or decal received.
If you are seeking a new EAA – or additional information please contact the Student Placement Coordinator, Corby Hernandez, at Corby.Hernandez@halifax.org.
