Halifax Health Launches Century Forward Fund with Transformative Gift to Advance Surgical Care

Daytona Beach, FL – (August 12, 2026) The Halifax Health - Foundation recently launched the Century Forward Fund, inspired by a gift from the Hosseini family, led by Mori and Forough Hosseini. Their contribution helped support Halifax Health’s $5.2 million investment in two daVinci 5 surgical robots, which went live August 10, 2026, with a fully trained staff, expanding local access to the most advanced surgical technology. In addition, the gift enabled Halifax Health | UF Health - Medical Center of Deltona to welcome a daVinci system of its own.

“With medical technology advancing at an unprecedented pace, we recognized the urgent need to invest in the most advanced tools available to ensure our community has access to world-class care close to home,” said Mori Hosseini. “We hope this gift inspires others to join in supporting the future of healthcare in our region. Halifax Health provides more than $43 million in uncompensated care each year, and preserving its ability to deliver innovative, lifesaving care will require all of us working together.”

John Guthrie, executive director of our Halifax Health - Foundation, added, “This is just the beginning. The Century Forward Fund is designed to secure tomorrow’s care today, and every contribution helps strengthen access to world-class health care close to home.”

Jeff Feasel, president and CEO of Halifax Health, said, “The Hosseini family has once again demonstrated leadership and generosity. As a publicly owned hospital approaching its 100th anniversary, this initiative represents more than an investment in equipment, it reflects a long-term commitment to the health and well-being of future generations. We are deeply grateful for their support and inspired by the momentum this launch creates for our community.”

Community members are invited to support the Century Forward Fund and help ensure continued access to cutting-edge care as Halifax Health advances its century-long mission of serving the region by visiting halifaxhealth.org/foundation.
