Ensure to check with your practice location, but normal hours are Monday - Friday, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with 12:00 - 1:00 pm closed for lunch.

Upon your first visit, you will be invited to register for our patient portal that allows you to access your medical records, communicate with your provider, request prescription refills, request to schedule an appointment and so much more online.

If you have not already registered for this portal, please visit halifaxhealth.org/pcpportal. If you have any difficulties, please contact the office for support.

At Halifax Health – Primary Care, our goal is to ensure that your first visit goes as smoothly as possible.

On your first visit, we will begin a permanent record. Please bring any medications you are taking, so that we may accurately determine the dosage and frequency. We will ask you to complete a medical history and registration form. Please bring your insurance card and arrive at least thirty minutes early. If you have been under the care of another physician, we may ask your permission to transfer records.

We have three appointment categories:

  • Annual Exams or New Patient Visits – This visit should take approximately one hour and will consist of check-in, form completion and physician visit
  • Follow-Up Exams – This visit should take approximately thirty minutes
  • Sick Visits – The duration of this visit depends on the illness

If you find that you are unable to keep your appointment or are running late, please call your physician’s office as soon as possible. This courtesy allows us to assist other patients.

If you have an urgent problem, you may call your physician’s office to schedule an appointment. However, if you feel it is a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.

At Halifax Health – Primary Care we have a strict patient confidentiality policy. Your medical record is strictly private and will not be shared with your employer, friends or relatives without your written permission.

Mansi Amin, MD is a board-certified family medicine physician and geriatrician. Dr. Amin completed her residency in Family Medicine and a fellowship in Geriatrics at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, after obtaining a medical degree from the American University of Antigua. She has attained certification in Integrative Medicine from University of Arizona’s Center of Integrative Medicine (AZCIM) program.

Dr. Amin is excited to practice family medicine and geriatric medicine in Deltona, and aims to provide preventive medicine for the West Volusia Community. Dr. Amin is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi.

Dr. Amin resides in Altamonte Springs with her husband and daughter. She loves to spend time with family and friends and enjoys cooking, biking and other hobbies.

Harry (Buddy) Blanke, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician and a retired Colonel from the United States Air Force where he served on active duty for almost 28 years. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The Citadel, a Master’s Degree from Webster University and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies from the Air War College. Dr. Blanke completed his pre-requisite science classes for medical school at Spartanburg Community College and the University of South Caroline Upstate. He attended the Medical University of South Carolina for medical school and completed his residency at Halifax Health – Family Medicine Residency Program, serving as chief resident his third year.

In addition to his regular duties as a family medicine physician, he provides prenatal care to the community. He enjoys providing full-spectrum care including preventive care, sports, geriatric and community medicine, women’s health and minor surgical procedures.

Nally Calzado-Ricketts, MD, board-certified primary care physician, was born in Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx, NY. She received her medical degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine.

During her medical education, she was involved in various outreach activities within her community, and was honored with induction into the Gold Foundation for Humanism in Medicine Honor Society. Dr. Calzado-Ricketts completed her Family Medicine Residency at Halifax Health Medical Center. She is bilingual in Spanish and English.

During her free time Dr. Calzado-Ricketts enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, as well as traveling and cooking.

Natalie Caplinger, DO, is a double board-certified family medicine and obesity medicine physician who earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 2022, she completed her residency at HCA Healthcare/University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine GME at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida where she served as Chief Resident.

During her residency, Dr. Caplinger completed an area of concentration track in children and adolescent medicine. She currently serves as a Clinical Instructor and Founding Faculty Member for the Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine. As a physician, she enjoys all facets of wellness with an emphasis on obesity medicine, women’s health, all-age pediatric care, mental health and preventative care. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, traveling and exploring new cities, learning new recipes and spending quality time with her husband Joshua and her puppy Obi.

Dr. Dessavre is a native of rural central Illinois. She completed her undergraduate studies in community and public health at Iowa State University and her Masters of Public Health at the University of Illinois. Dr. Dessavre worked for the Illinois Department of Public Health in health policy and local public health as a health inspector before attending medical school at the University of Illinois. During her medical education, Dr. Dessavre was very involved in the Rural Medical Education Program as well as various outreach and mentoring activities which solidified her commitment to family medicine.

Dr. Dessavre completed her family medicine residency at Halifax Health. While at Halifax Health, she was a Resident Association meeting leader and was involved in many scholarly activities and committees, including her role as medical consultant and site coordinator for the Reach Out and Read program which aims to improve early literacy in the pediatric patient population. Dr. Dessavre has a special interest in adolescent medicine, women’s health and geriatrics. She looks forward to continuing to serve the Daytona Beach community.

In her free time, Dr. Dessavre enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, cooking and crafting.

Naomi Flock, MD, MPH, is a sunshine state native originally from Miami, FL. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Florida State University and continued her studies at Florida State University College of Medicine. Dr. Flock earned her master’s degree in Public Health from the University of West Florida with a focus on adolescent health and prevention. In 2017, Dr. Flock completed her Family Medicine residency as chief resident at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina, and is a board-certified family physician.

Dr. Flock loves building relationships with families and taking care of her community in all stages of life. She has a passion for maternal and child care, and provides all age pediatric care. Dr. Flock also provides prenatal care, in addition to obstetric deliveries and new born care at Halifax Health Medical Center of Daytona Beach. She has additional experience in adolescent medicine, risk reduction and prevention, reproductive health and LGBTQ+ care.

Dr. Flock returned to Florida in 2020 and lives with her husband Jens, who is also a physician. She enjoys cooking, stand-up paddle boarding, the beach, painting, making jewelry and spending time with her husband and their cat Wilmy.

Joshua Grube, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician, who graduated magna cum laude from Oklahoma City University, with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. He then obtained his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed his residency at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida in 2018.

Dr. Grube enjoys all facets of wellness with an emphasis in caring for patients with chronic pain, musculoskeletal problems as well as women’s health.

Tyler Johnson, MD graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts and went on to earn a Master of Health Administration (MHA) from Ohio State University, and a Master of Biomedical Sciences (MSBS) from the University of Toledo before returning to Ohio State for medical school. His passion for primary care and developing close relationships with his patients led Dr. Johnson to pursue a career in family medicine. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his residency at Halifax Health. Dr. Johnson served as Chief Resident and received the Phi-Yen Nguyen Award for Excellence in Pediatrics as well as the Brian Blaxall Award, the highest honor given to a graduating resident.

Outside of the office, Dr. Johnson loves spending time outdoors with his wife and two sons. Whether on a boat, at the beach or Disney World, Dr. Johnson and his family love to enjoy the Florida sunshine year-round.

Dr. Lemaster is a 2007 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, and completed his residency in family medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital, also in Columbus. He obtained a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Sports Medicine after completing his fellowship at Kettering Sports Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

Prior to joining Halifax Health, Dr. Lemaster was a sports medicine and primary care physician at the University of Cincinnati. He has sporting event experience covering all ages, including team coverage of high school, college and professional sports. He has a special interest in procedural medicine including joint/soft tissue injections and minor skin procedures.

Upon joining Halifax Health - Center for Family and Sports Medicine, Lemaster served as a faculty member and became Fellowship Director in 2017. As the program’s Sports Medicine Fellow, Lemaster served as the head team physician to four local athletic departments - Bethune-Cookman University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona State College and Daytona Tortugas.

Dr. Lemaster sees patients aged 2 years and up. His interests include musculoskeletal care including acute injury evaluation and injury prevention as well as health promotion through exercise and functional movement. He has an interest in and ability to improve pain and function in many chronic degenerative processes through corticosteroid injections, prolotherapy and myofascial hydrodissection.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Lemaster enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and working on projects around the house. The family enjoys going to Disney whenever possible and spending time outside and in the water. He is a big Ohio State University Buckeyes fan and tries to go to a game whenever he can.

Candice (Candi) Marois, APRN, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University. She joined Halifax Health in 2008.

Education

Rebecca Peck, MD, earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. She received her medical degree at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in Champaign and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Halifax Health. She completed a 1-year NFP Practicum from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in women’s health in 2012.

Professional Highlights

Dr. Peck is a board-certified family physician who has worked in government, private and hospital-employed physician environments as a geriatric specialist and family physician. Dr. Peck is dedicated to providing excellent care and service to her patients and collaborates with other medical staff to devise effective treatment solutions. During the covid pandemic, she provided early treatments with great success. She is excited to provide a neighborhood doctor’s approach combining the best of longitudinal patient relationships with the latest technological advances.

While winning numerous awards and scholarships in her career, Dr. Peck has consistently received referrals and high patient satisfaction scores and has published several research papers. She is the proud wife of Benjamin Peck, MD, and mother of six wonderful children. Dr. Peck is active in the Florida Medical, Catholic Medical and Volusia County Medical Associations. She enjoys playing piano in her church praise band and is an avid runner.

Taylor Perry, APRN, FNP-C, has joined Halifax Health – Primary Care in Ormond Beach, Fla off Booth Road. Perry graduated cum laude from St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria, Ill., and received her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. Perry is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with practicum experience in internal medicine, urgent care, pediatrics and family practice.

Ryan R. Rees, MD is a board certified family medicine physician who received his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University, graduated from the American University of the Caribbean Medical School and finished his core training at Queen Mary’s Hospital in London. Dr. Rees completed his residency at the Medical College of Georgia where he was chief resident and named Georgia Resident of the Year.

Dr. Rees has practiced family medicine in Daytona Beach since 2005. In addition to his full-time private practice responsibilities, he also volunteers as an on-call Cardiac Rehabilitation physician for Halifax Health, works as an urgent care physician in Port Orange, serves as an Aviation Medical Examiner for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and monitors patient health during prescribed weight loss management programs.

Certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support, Dr. Rees has received the training needed to care for patients in complex situations with a myriad of symptoms.

Aubrey Schock, MD, is a graduate of Dickinson State University and University of Iowa Medical School. He completed his residency at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center and went on to work at Allina Medical Center in Hastings, Minnesota as a Family Physician. He practiced there for twenty-six years before joining Halifax Health – Primary Care.

Dr. Schock enjoys all aspects of family medicine, but takes great interest in orthopedic medicine, along with urgent care and preventive medicine. In 2015, Dr. Schock was a finalist for the Minnesota Family Physician of the Year through the Minnesota Academy of Family Practice.

Dr. Schock’s interests include traveling, hunting and fishing in his free time. He decided to relocate to Daytona Beach, FL, to be closer to his two children. Dr. Schock is also a veteran of the United States Army Reserve Medical Corps.

Priscilla first joined Halifax Health in 2016 as an RN in the Emergency Department. Priscilla’s clinical training is in family healthcare across the life span, including children and women’s care.  She focuses on preventive care and building a healthy lifestyle.

Originally from New York, Priscilla’s love of the beach brought her to Florida. She loves spending time with her husband and daughter. In her spare time she enjoys surfing, running and doing water activates. Although she is a transplant, she loves Florida and all it has to offer.

Kari Stausmire, MD graduated from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio. She completed her residency at Halifax Health’s distinguished Family Medicine Residency Program in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Dr. Stausmire provides primary care, comprehensive OB services and non-surgical gynecologic services for women ages 12 through 65, including preventative care, family planning, management of chronic conditions, annual exams, pap smears, long-acting contraception, neonatal circumcisions and more. Her special interests include women’s and adolescent health, obstetrics and breastfeeding medicine. She has a passion for patient education, counseling and working with underserved communities.

In her free time, Dr. Stausmire enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, yoga, listening to live music and eating sushi.

Dr. Tawadrous has a passion for serving the underserved and vulnerable with a focus on preventive health, geriatric and palliative care. He believes in empowering patients and their families to live a healthy, happy and dignified life.

Jennifer L. Williams, APRN, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences degree from The University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo., Williams received her BSN degree from the Research College of Nursing-Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo. She went on to earn a Doctorate of Nursing Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner degree from The University of Missouri in Kansas City, Mo. and received a post-Master’s Nurse Educator Certificate. During her career in Kansas City and in Volusia County, Williams has served her community as an ICU Registered Nurse and Educator, a Surgical and Trauma ICU Nurse and a Family Nurse Practitioner. She holds numerous licensures, certifications and professional memberships including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Family Nurse Practitioner Certification and the Volusia Flagler Advanced Practice Nursing Council.

Jennifer loves spending time with her husband, children and dog, Marlow. She enjoys hiking at local springs and parks and her pastimes include traveling and enjoying the outdoors.

Leslie Williams, MD is a board certified Family Medicine physician who earned his Doctor of Medicine from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia in 2014. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Halifax Health Medical Center if Daytona Beach, Florida in 2017, where he was chief resident. Dr. Williams sees patients 12 years of age and up and has a strong background in preventive care and health promotion in teenage and adult patients.

Dr. Williams has participated in multiple international mission trips, enjoys volunteering with various health fairs, radio outreach, and mentoring programs in the community.

Outside of medicine, his interests include weightlifting, football and spending time with his family. He is married to Kara Williams, MD, and has 2 children.
